The World Mini Mini Football (WMMF) successfully staged its first-ever demonstration event in Pune, India, introducing players, coaches, and spectators to an exciting new format of football.
Four Under-19 teams participated in this historic exhibition, becoming the first athletes to experience World Mini Mini Football in competitive play. Although none of the participants had previously played the game or were familiar with its rules, they quickly adapted to its unique style and fast pace.
During the opening match, players were naturally cautious as they adjusted to the different playing environment. Many were particularly surprised by the size of the official WMMF ball, which immediately distinguished the sport from other forms of football. However, as the matches progressed, the players rapidly developed an understanding of the game’s rhythm, tactics, and technical demands.
By the end of the first match, the teams had begun to appreciate the importance of quick decision-making, precise passing, intelligent movement, and the vital role of every player on the court. They soon realized that World Mini Mini Football is not simply another version of futsal or indoor soccer. The game’s smaller playing area, unique rules, and continuous high-speed action create a completely different tactical and technical experience.
As confidence grew, so did the intensity and excitement of the matches. The fast tempo, frequent transitions, and constant involvement of every player created an energetic atmosphere that captivated both the participants and spectators. What began with curiosity quickly turned into enthusiasm, with players embracing the challenge and enjoyment of this new sport.
The successful demonstration marked an important milestone for the World Mini Mini Football movement and the beginning of the sport’s development in India. The positive response from players, coaches, and officials reinforced WMMF’s vision of creating a fast, accessible, and exciting football discipline that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels.
This historic event laid the foundation for future coaching programs, referee education, and competitions as World Mini Mini Football continues to expand across India and around the world.
